Swirling with the modernity and whimsy of bridal couture, we explore the allure & innate beauty of seasonality in nature and bridal fashion. Photographed in South Africa, I gathered an amazing team of international and local creatives to bring to light the beauty of the seasons we experience each year.
With nature at heart and as a conservationist, I wanted to bring to light the seasons we experience in ways that are poetic, subtle, and feminine in the wedding and fashion industry. Each look different through seasonality, a story told through colours, fashion couture & florals to bring each of the four seasons to life.
Celebrating virtuosity with handcrafted jewelry adornments from All About Romance Bridal, that punctuated the bridal fashion from Nesty Odina. The grandeur in flower bouquets created by Wildeflower was parallel to every look and transposed to each season. In dream-like images of each season, each piece is perfectly scintillating in celebration of seasonal expression.
Each landscape brought emphasis to the beauty of the seasons and the extreme delicacy of the bridal fashion & flowers play upon the textures and tones of nature. This bridal editorial infuses colour, details, and texture to embrace the audacity, strength of femininity, romance, timeless bridal fashion and nurture the beauty of nature.
It contributes to showing moments of pure aesthetic emotion and connection to nature, translating into the quest for beauty and strength in nature, no matter the season.

Seasons of Change for The Modern Bride
An Ode to Spring
“One season ends, another season begins… She comes to life all over again. She celebrates the beauty of life and offers new growth. She’s wild, yet delicate. She is whimsical, free, swaying and dancing as Spring blooms.”
Set in a grass field with light tones of green and yellow, the Spring look celebrates the untamed sprouting of new and fresh floral blooms. The draped and pleated pink dress embodies freedom and feminism yet is elegant and whimsical. Its luminosity creates a wonderful sense of delicacy and unpredictability.
Ivory flowers set against gold foliage created the perfect adornment pieces for this timeless and delicate look for Spring.
The floral bouquet made of garden roses in pastel hues of lilac, peach and pink, contrasted the fashion and landscape and created an elegant and whimsical movement in its entirety.
An Ode to Summer
“One season ends, another season begins… She’s blossomed with an abundance of lush greens and colour. She’s there in the brightness. She’s bold, lush, cheerful, and playful in the warmth of Summer.”
Dreaming of sunny days by the seaside, this wonderful bold cerise pink dress brings an emphasis on a playful and fun take on colour. The weightless movement in the pleated tulle fabric brings a playful and elegant sense that compliments the idea of warm sunny summer days by the seaside.
With boldness in fashion, the beautiful soft ivory floral bud earrings with pearls create the perfect balance of subtly and timelessness to echo the romantic and joyfulness of summer.
This look called for flowers in full bloom that mirrored the vibrancy, delicacy, and cheer of the season. These stunningly beautiful peonies and roses in all their ruffles and colours brought the perfect contrast to the dress and yet complimented the interpretation of the season of Summer.
An Ode to Autumn
“One season ends, another begins… She’s inherently regal, rich and dramatic. She’s like a dream, vibrant and fleeting. She’s swift and fluent in her movements of colour, in a way that is avant-garde. She’s a manifestation of Autumn itself.”
The season of Autumn comes to life with the nuances of a lightweight tulle dress, bejewelled with audacious shaped gems. The dusty pink-orange dress invokes a feminine and sophisticated look that’s quintessence for the celebration of Autumn.
Adorned with a fleur gold and ivory necklace and earrings with black beads, the jewellery creates a moody and regal feel. The high-low effect in the design of the necklace evokes modernism & sophistication for this autumnal look.
The floral bouquet for this look is imbued with tones for the season of Autumn. Canterbury bells and roses in regal and deep, muddy purple and pink tones, mould and enhance the look, thereby creating delicate movements and the absolute embodiment of elegance.
Together each element initiated the dialogue, from different perspectives, for the final days of Autumn and the season to come.
An Ode to Winter
“One season ends, another season begins… She’s all around us yet hidden in plain sight. Her presence imposed on us, so pure. Shying away from the chill, only to reveal her elegance for when the time is right. She’s dormant and bare, as she sleeps soundlessly through Winter.”
Welcoming the chill of Winter, the misty forest presented the perfect backdrop for the season’s look. The satin gown with a flower punctuates a silhouette that is feminine and elegant. Though simple in colour, the audacious asymmetrical back brings a modern appeal to this elegant look.
The handmade April Fleur earrings in gold and ivory added an elegant and timeless look. The simple veil adds a classic and traditional feel. Together, the dress and adornments etched out the perfect narrative for an elevated look, combining modernism and classicism.
The simplicity and purity of this look allow for texture through the flowers. The bouquet of white in peonies, anemones, bougainvillea, and roses in pastel shades, inherently sets the tone for the Winter look through subtly in colour, textures, and movement of each floral element.
Harmoniously, each element pays homage to the season of Winter.
